Each year, Girls on the Run of Silicon Valley inspires more and more girls to be joyful, healthy, and confident by providing opportunities to participate in Girls on the Run and Heart & Sole at schools throughout Santa Clara and Santa Cruz Counties. During the program, girls develop life skills while training for a 5K. Meeting twice a week for 10 weeks, trained volunteer coaches lead the girls through lessons in positive self-talk, goal-setting, putting an end to gossip, and more, all while engaging the girls in active running-based activities. Join us by starting or continuing a team at your school. Submit your site application by September 25, 2017, to participate in our 2018 Season (March 5-May 19, 2018). Read More!

We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. Read More!
